Circuit-breaker restrictions are in place from 11:59pm on Thursday 27 May until 11:59pm on Thursday 3 June 2021.
This means that you cannot leave your home unless you are doing it for one of the five following reasons:
- shopping for necessary goods and services
- care and caregiving
- exercise
- authorised work and permitted study
- to get a COVID-19 vaccination.

FAQs
Can I participate in recreational activities like fishing and hunting?
Yes, fishing and hunting within 5km of your home – so long as it doesn’t require the use of a facility – is allowed.
You can participate in these activities for up to two hours. You can leave home once a day to do so.
Do I have to wear a face mask while exercising?
You do not need to wear a face mask when exercising if you are out of breath or puffing. You must carry a face mask with you at all times unless you have a lawful reason not to.
Can I exercise with someone else?
You can exercise with your household or one other person who you don’t live with as long as neither of you travel more than 5km from your home.
You can exercise for up to two hours. You can leave home once a day to exercise.
If you are visiting an intimate partner or bubble buddy, you are not able to leave their home for the purposes of exercise within 5km of their home.
