The coronavirus (COVID-19) roadmap to reopening outlines the steps for easing restrictions across Victoria, subject to 'trigger points' being met and public health advice.
Metropolitan Melbourne will enter the Second Step of reopening from 11:59pm Sunday, 27 September 2020. This step includes some small but significant changes to the planned roadmap based on current case numbers and the latest modelling and projections.

Regional Victoria – third step
Can I participate in recreational activities like hunting?
Yes. You can leave home for permitted exercise and recreation activities that are outdoors and can be done by yourself, members of your household, or in a group of up to ten people.
This includes, fishing, hunting, boating, surfing, and recreational diving. There are no limits on the distance you can travel to exercise in regional Victoria. You cannot travel to metropolitan Melbourne for recreational activities.
You must be able to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others. Where possible you should minimise the sharing of equipment. You must clean and disinfect shared equipment between users.

Metro Melbourne – second step
Can I undertake activities like hunting?
Yes, but only if those activities can be done outdoors, without the need to access a public facility (i.e. a marina), and can be done by yourself, with members of your household, or up to five people (including you) from a maximum of two households.
This includes, fishing, hunting, boating, surfing, and recreational diving.
Exercise activities must be undertaken within 5km of your home or workplace (if you are a permitted worker carrying your permitted worker permit).
You must be able to maintain a 1.5 metres distance from others and no equipment should be shared.
You cannot travel to regional Victoria for exercise or other physical activities.
